Programmer - 3D Modeler - Writer - Artist - Theorist - Teacher

Low Poly Modeling - Mike Hogg is an amazing artist and he'd be an "A" student if his work arrived on time. In my first class with him, I lowered his grade substantially, reached out to him consistently and gave detailed advice and feedback (positive and negative). I don't think I can change his timing, but I will take credit bringing out the best in him. There's a slight issue with the cloth on the shoulder, but given what the version before looked like - its very good regardless.
(I steer students away from things like flowing cloth, wings, and sometimes doing individual fingers. Its a 5.5 week class in a tough subject and I'd rather they get the hold process than lose pace in a modeling detail)

Online learning is tough and teaching software as complex as 3D Studio Max is difficult. I'll spend more than a few hours with individual students trying to figure out which of thousands of options in Max they need to use, change and/or undo in order to get their project to work. Sometimes I wish I could just see their desktop, or be in their room helping to guide them.
