Richard Smyth and Roy Parkhurst
This hypertext contains sounds and graphics requiring about 1 MB of RAM to run smoothly. The graphics are 8-bit color PICTs and so this hypertext will provide maximum pleasure if it is run on a color Macintosh with a 13' color or grey scale monitor. Theoretically, the document can be run on a monochrome Mac, but all the graphics will appear as 1-bit B&W screens and may be uninterpretable. Most of this hypertext is in fact text, and so the role of the graphics is mostly aesthetic and not necessary to get a great deal out of it. Please don't hesitate to run this on other than II-series Macs. Be sure to first install the document onto your hard-drive rather than trying to open it up from the disk. You will need 1.2 mgs of disk space to run GENETIS.
Special thanks should go to Eastgate Systems for their very user friendly hypertext authoring environment, Storyspace. We recommend it highly. You can contact Eastgate at:
